are you kidding me? There's more than that this weekend...2 for starters
#2 Mn Duluth vs. the Evil MN Goofers 7:00 both nights FSN North...GO DOGS!!
Saturday is the big chill at the big house Mich State vs. Michigan 2:00 FSN Detroit and Big 10 Network
As I mentioned in another thread...
OK, I can't understand why there is nary a mention of this here in the Sports Forum. The Big Chill in the Big House was huge for several reasons:
1. The attendance of 113,411 eclipsed the former Hockey attendance record (Germany) by more than 35,000.
2. More people attended this event than any football game in Michigan Stadium history (and they've had 100,000+ fans per game since 1975).
3. Largest NCAA crowd ever (again, surpassing Michigan's football program).
4. This event was attended by more than 42,000 fans over the NHL's record setting 2008 Winter Classic.
5. Eclipses the NFL's single game record (a Super Bowl no less) by almost 10,000.
6. Surpasses the MLB's single game attendance record by more than 20,000.
The best part is Michigan win 5-0 over Michigan State.
Islandguy43 said:Sad part was that, there was very little publicity about the game here, and we are hosting the World Juniors Championship here in a couple weeks and it should be awesome. I went to the Winter Classic at The Ralph and would have loved to watch this outdoor game at the Big House.
although I'm sure Iceberg will tell us all about the McGill-UQTR replay he'll pull in on his BUD this weekend.![]()
