I wish the would do away with rankings prior to Week 6 - they are absolutely worthless IMO.

Isn't that when the Coaches' Poll comes out? That's the only one that counts for BCS purposes.

I hate polls too. I have stated the EXACT thing. By that time, all the cream puffs/exhibition games are done and you are well into your conference schedules.

Why can't you count out Penn State....they are ranked #21 in the country by one poll....and #20 in another.

Ohio St. plays Penn St. in November, so we'll see how they do against a common opponent then.
As it was, it wasn't the freshman quarterback's fault that the Tide offense was rolling up and down the field (roll tide pun intended).

Nope, Coaches do a preseason poll and 1 every week when the season starts. The Harris Poll is the one that doesn't come out until mid-way through the season.

I tend to be tougher on wins than loses. A true fans real feelings come out in loses more than wins. Too much bravado bullsh** comes shooting from their mouths when they win a game.
