2015 AL Central

Nice start for the Tigers, they are off to a 6-0 record, but they have company as the KC Royals are also at 6-0 .... could be a fun summer :D

The pitching has been good but the offense has been on fire. It looks like we are going to put up a ton of runs this year and I think it's gonna be a lot of fun to watch.

I've been impressed with the way every time Cleveland made a challenge and tried to get back into the game, the Tigers came right back and scored more :D.

Tigers take thier first loss of the year yesterday to the hands of the Pittsburgh Pirates, an extremely well pitched game by the Pirates Cole.

Tonight Tigers Shane Green pitched 8 very strong innings giving up 0 runs and only 3 hits, leaving with a 1-0 lead.
Greene threw only 81 pitches.
Now thats how you use a pitch count !

Soria will come in to try and close out the game in the ninth.
Greene was taken out when his place to bat came up in the ninth when Tigers had a potential to score another run, Iglassis had a hustle double and Ausmas pulled Greene to try for more runs.
Victor Martinez ended up striking out ... Tigers still have possibility to score.

Ian Kinsler comes thru with a 2 out hit to score the Tigers 2nd run.

Soria pitches a 1,2,3 ninth and Tigers win 2-0.

Whens the last time you could say they had a 1,2,3 ninth ?

If Soria keeps performing like this it's going to be really hard to give Nathan his job back. I'm really impressed with Shane Greene too. Honestly I had never heard of him until we traded to get him. So far it looks like a good deal.

I had never heard of him either, other than he came from the Yanks, thats all I knew.

Looks like last year was his first in the Majors for the Yanks, has Dombrowski picked up another gem that was unknown ?

Thank you Twins ! :clapping:bow:clapping
Twins have beaten the Royals twice in the last two days, while the Tigers won yesterday and are off today so they picked up 1 1/2 games.

Baseball is a unique sport. One day the Tigers are getting killed and give up a grand slam and the next day against the same team they completely turn the tables and get a grand slam of their own.

Yet, it's VERY Difficult to win Both games of a Day Night DH !

The Yankees come to Comerica tonight and of course ESPN came with them. Even when the Yankees don't have good teams they still dominate national MLB coverage. The series is nationally broadcast on ESPN tonight and MLB Network tomorrow night.

Doesn't surprise me ... I think espn is owned by the yankees or vice versa.

That was one of the weirdest first innings I have ever seen. There was decently heavy snow, both teams batted around, the pitchers combined for 87 pitches (51 from Price), and the score after 1 is already 6 to 4.

Very sad game over all.
I'm sure the weather had an impact, but this team needs to learn how to play in the cold weather if they have ANY aspirations of playing for the World Series, its usually in the ballpark of tonights game when they play in late October and NOVEMBER.

MLB SHOULD revamp the schedule so that the Playoffs are DONE before November, not starting.
Then again, if you adjust the season to accommodate, MLB will take that new time frame and EXPAND the playoffs another round.
MLB is doing everything they can to RUIN baseball.

Yes, this was one very Bizzare game, particularly the 1st inning, 1st inning took over an Hour to play.

Tigers fell behind big, then got back in it by the end of the 1st, trailing 6-4, then they gave up MORE runs.

I think all the pitchers had issues with gripping the ball.
