Looks like LSU has changed thier mind ...
As of this afternoon, Ed Orgeron will be announced as the new Head Coach.

Man, LSU made themselves look poorly. Run Les off, can't get Jimbo two years in a row, can't get Herman, and now settles with O.

End of the day, do you have better seasons if you just kept Les?

I think you are looking at a different Kiffen than in the past.

Several years learning from one of the best, on top of what he had before.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him excel at a small head coaching position in the near future.

I say this as someone who was totally against getting him when hired.

Nah, Ive kept up with him, I think you look at it too much as a Bama fan and the idea of him leaving Bama for LSU can't be heard of in your eyes

I told Bama fans here when he was hired it was a helluva move for a team with a normally boring offense, but Bama fans hated. Now look, they love him.

The big push for LSU is they want a dynamic offense, so I look for Orgeron to go get someone dynamic.

I wasn't against Kiffen for his ability. He was a hell of a OC, that was known.

I was against him because of his baggage.

He has grown in me, and sincerely seems to have changed as far as personality.

His time learning from saban has been extremely beneficial.

Great Georgia/Georgia Tech game. It kept so close I wasn't able to see most of the Michigan/Ohio St. game. Luckily we beat Georgia in time for me to see the overtimes in the other game. Great close game.

And what happened to Louisville?!? Seriously...to Kentucky!?! Is it basketball season already???

Didn't watch it cause I was at our game but disappointed for sure that Michigan didn't win...still think they are the better team.

VT made a statement today and destroyed UVA - Clemson is making the same statement against S.Carolina.
Will be a good game next week for sure!! As much as I hate to spoil clemsons chance at the playoff - I want that Orange bowl trip!

They may win but not destroy - I hope to prove you wrong. The same was said about Clemson and Pitt by many clemson fans that week... look what happened. VT beat Pitt - whom beat Clemson. You really don't have any idea what will happen but you can suggest it all you like.

Well nope but I'm hopeful and I believe that they will win.

Now as for opinions - OSU should NOT play in the playoff regardless of outcome if they don't win their conference.
I don't know why anyone would want a conference loser to play in the playoff is beyond me. You win your Conference you should play in the playoff... plain and simple. Since there are 5 Conferences then make it 8 teams - with 5 Conf champs regardless of poll number and let 3 teams based on poll #'s get in as a wild card. See whats going on to happen is Wisc or Penn St will get screwed out of going by winning their Conf if OSU gets in and I hope they raise holy hell and force this change. Same would apply to VT if they win the ACC by upsetting Clemson or any other Conference for that matter. You bring those winners in and 3 wild cards based on last week CFP poll numbers.

This would be more than fair for all.

Orange Bowl looking hard at FSU vs Michigan. Will def go to that one if it comes out that way. Uncle is from Mich, so it would be a blast. Never seen Mich live so I could check that one off the list.

If VT wins this weekend - VT is going to the Orange bowl which they should go to the playoff based on what I said before but yeah that ain't happening this year. A rematch against Michigan from where VT got screwed in the Sugar bowl a few years ago would be nice!

Good, yes, in the Jackson / Watson category, No.
Didn't know that the Bama qb was one to aspire to be.
No disrespect to the Bama QB intended.

Bama's QB is on the list for Heisman which was odd...but here is a comparison as of yesterday.

I was all for an 8 team playoff right from the beginning ...
Paul and I had discussed it for a long time, even figuring out how to do home field advantage for the higher seeds.

Nothing will happen till I think it is 2022, I think thats when the current contract with the CFP ends/ gets renewed.
I could be wrong on the year, but its something like that, gonna be awhile.

I agree, it was stupid to choose the Top 4 in the first place when you know you had More than 4 conferences.

THAT is why it's suppose to be the 4 BEST TEAMS, not the 4 conference winners.

Who out there is realistically gonna have a shot at upsetting Bama ?
Ohio State, thats who.

Clemson has a possibility if they meet.

Or would you rather just skip the Playoff and give it to Bama ?
