4k wired Joey vs wired Joey 4 and hopper plus

I will soon add Dish to all my TV locations (5 TVs plus home theater). Currently, just one TV is attached to the Hopper 3. I have RG-6 run to all locations. My understanding is that the 4k Joey will play the HD content fine but not the channel 540 HDR content; while the Joey 4 will play HD and HDR content from Dish. I have never watched channel 540 so this is not an issue. I also understand that the Joey 4 allows streaming services (does this require the hopper plus to work?). Since all the TVs are smart TVs I don't need this feature either except for the home theater projector but there are other options to add streaming apps input into the projector. So, is there a reason to opt for the Joey 4 over the 4k Joey? If the monthly fee is the same for both and there is no fee for the Hopper Plus, does it just make sense to use Joey 4s anyway as that would solve the streaming issue to the projector. 1) Yes the Joey 4 will see and play the DISH 4K Content from the satellite and adds Android TV for streaming
2) I would stay away from the 4K Joey, as most of the 4K from DISH does not play on the 4K Joey.
3) Technically You don't need a Hopper Plus on your Hopper 3, the Joey 4 will function fine without it. But they try to force it on people so the experience is the same on all the TV's.

All my TV's have streaming built in too, but I find it easier to stream from the Joey 4 as then my wife does not have to change inputs. Everything is just there for her and easy to use.

The only time I don't watch via the Joey 4's is if I want to watch something in Dolby Vision, or Dolby Atmos. (The Joey 4's DO support ATMOS, however the app makers have to enable Atmos support for the Joey 4 to work, and at the moment I think only Amazon Prime supports Atmos on the Hopper Plus and Joey 4's.)

Thanks for the very prompt reply! I agree, not having to switch inputs is a plus for the better half. Joey 4 it is then. Can you purchase them directly from a vendor or is renting from Dish the only option?

You can purchase them from Place like SolidSignal or get them from DISH, your choice.
