522 now supports ERD?

Just noticed that my 522 has an ERD setup under Record Plus in the setup menus for an external recording device. Just got the new software upgrade yesterday. I am assuming this is new as I have not seen this in the menu before.

so does this mean you can hookup an external Hard Drive and record to it? What External recording devices could you possibly use?

It says external recording device, not pocketdish, so why wouldn't it support other devices as well?

The pocketdish is a ERD....

It may support others in the future, but my guess is that it will not.
