OK, the month and a half wait is over. I have my 622 hooked up in house with latest software. Now lets just see how much power Natelie and David L have in that CEO office.

As you remember I am the since dish inception customer that had to beg to upgrade to the 622 as I had just returned my 921 as defective and turned off HD a few weeks before 622 offer. They fixed that and gave me a GREAT DEAL!

The big issue has been with my AWFUL Dish network company insallation office. When I had my 921 installed they refused to give me a DPP-44 as at that time I only needed 110-119-148(3 indy locals on 148) So I had to settle with 2 Dp-34's that I have had problems with.

Well this time the ball is in my court as now I need 110-119-129-148 Can you say 4 orbital = DPP44!!!!!

However when verifying this with the Manager of the local Dish office (Natelie asked him to call me and verify they would in fact show up on time as it took 3 missed appointments last time) The Manager said HE WILL NOT install a DpP-44 as they are too expensive and get this, YOU DONT NEED THE 148 BIRD AS THE CHANNELS ARE MIGRATING BEFORE YOUR APRIL 9th INSTALL!

I told him CEO had approved it. He said well buddy, as long as its on the invoice we will do it. If not we wont as you wont need it.

Well as luck has it the 3 channels have not migrated yet and are still on 148. So HE LOSES!. I cant wait for the installer to show up and claim I dont need 148. I will show him my email from CEO stating approval for the dpp-44.

Who wants to bet that he will not have one on him! Well also as luck had it. The office for the dish intaller is 1 mile from my home. Guess he will have to drive back and get one.

If they dont have one at all I will be PISSED!

This is the worst local office per posts of others in the country I belive.
The manager of this unit is rude, crude, and cheap as a whistle!

PS the reason I need a dpp-44 is I built my log home and I currently have to have the extra rg-6 come in a window. Looks terrible.

It's not just your regional office that restricts the DPP44, it's all offices. Unless you have a 4-orbital workorder or the actual workorder calls for it...OR!!...you're willing to pay the difference in upgrades (vs. DP34) then nobody will install it. It's not a matter of "he loses" or not. Trust me, most installers would rather deal with a DPP44 over 2 DP34 switch setup. Especially if you have a dual tuner involved.

Webby, Did you read my post. I DO HAVE 4 Oribys! 110-119-129-148 and he still is refusing to put on 148 dish and has tried purposely to delay my install so he would not have to give me the 44! This I used to own my own cband satellite store. I know this guy. He is Cheap!!!

He has his techs going nuts as he is a pain!

You'll be fine w/o the 148 you're just being a PITA ;) They'll will be migrated to 110 this month...

I have installed many 350-450-550-650I recievers. Although the GI2770-2750-2720 were my favorites.

I dont have any old manuals but do know them like the back of my hand. What can I help you with!

Yep...:) ...read the post. Was just simply trying to say in so many words, "don't sweat the details." I don't understand the cheapness of the retailer. As long as it's written up on the workorder, he'll get reimbursed. The 4-orbitals will help said reimbursement. That's the only reason for mentioning it.

Its all good webster:D . First off lets see if they actually show up:confused:
I could just see this guy delaying again to push the issue. Funny as he is defying the CEO escalations dept by doing so. So if he wants to piss off his upper hands to spite his feet. SO BE IT!

I will report if and when they get here!

Hi Peggy, I was going to PM you and ask if they had shown up yet at your location. I think you installer comes out of a different hub in Kent. Either way it is par for the course with the way they let the Main Manager for Washington.

Every other company gives you a reminder call the day prior and a call when they are leaving last job coming to you.

I asked install lead from same Dish company last year why no call and he said because they are short staffed and everyone including the unit manager go out and install. What a LOAD of C>>>P

I have an hour and half left and no call no show. when it turns to 415 I will call the CEO escalations dept person. I was told they are there Sundays.

28 minutes and counting. Here is what I just emailed to David Laslo and CEO.

Here we go again! It is 4:30Pm PDT. NO SHOW-NO CALL!
Yes I know they have a half hour, but you would think after the problems in the past and myself having direct discussion about customer service when CEO had the local manager call me as well as CEO taking the time to GUARANTEE no problems this time it would go off without a hitch. But here I sit with the last 30 minutes counting down and not so much as a courtesy call....

We will see what a half an hour brings and then make a final judgment on our future with Dishnet. Too bad for a guy has worked for Charlie and been so pro Dish all these years!

Thanks

He showed up at 4:15, no call before. Of course, he has no DPP44 so he says he has to use 2 DP34s & run 5 lines  . 2 to the 622, 2 to the existing 721 & 1 to the 1 510 we're keeping. As if we don't have enough "spaghetti" running around here!

The last time we had a E* installer out here was when we got the 721 & upgraded to a 500 dish. I must say that was a much better experience.

Thanks for the update Peggy.

GUESS WHAT! 5 minutes after I called and left messege with CEO and sent email I got a call from installer. And get this. HE IS NOT FROM DISHNETWORK! He said they call him and sub out jobs to him when they cant get to it. From talking with him I could tell he is much more knowledgable then the Dish Net supervisor or team. He said they loaded him with 5 jobs prior to mine that were invoiced as 10 minute fix jobs. He said on each one of them he has spent hours fixing what Dish guys screwed up. No drip loops, no ground ect ect.

Long story short he said he will not be at my home till 630-7pm. Thank goodness for daylights savings time!

I think he may have bailed if I did not push. Not his fault as he sounds like an inoccent Indy guy trying to make dish look better then they can themselves.

I asked if DPP-44 was on invoice. He said yes and he has one, however he said he prefers to keep cost down with using only 34,. I told him NO DICE I was promised 44 and have some locals on 148, He tried to tell me they were gone. I pushed and told him I know what I am talkign about. He did not fight me and said he will do as invoice says. Lets hope he really has one. Seem sincere. I told him it will be an easy install as I have already downloaded new software and its hooked up in home ready to go. Sounded like that made his day.

Will report back after he gets here and leaves!

I had to ask him and he confirmed it was on workorder. I am just speculating that if a normal customer did not know, what would keep him from billing after signiture and selling or keeping 44. This guy sounds very legit but just a thought?

Get 1 guide for both 110 & 119 signals

Can you trunk at dpp44 of a dp34?
