622 to 722 How

I am an existing 10 year customer with a 622. The 622 acts up from time to time but I lived with it, now I'd like to get a 722. What are my options and what will it cost?

Call your ROR, Retailer of record, about DIU.
or call Dish to see if you qualify.

Yeah - you should be able to use Dishin' it Up (DIU) to upgrade. I did the same thing (622 -> 722) and after rebates it was about $100. If you have an account on the Dish web site, I think you can see your DIU status.

When you do it this way I assume Dish still owns the receiver?

If I get the 722 my external drive with all my shows will work with it right?

Yes to both.

If we don't have any 622's in the shop, we can swap out w/722 if the receiver is defective, and if someone is upgrading and again we don't have 1 in the shop, they will get a 722 w/o paying anything extra. done these 2 options a few times now
