No Tennis Channel; not a tennis fan, but suprised D* doesn't carry it

On screen guide leaves a lot to be desired. As big as E* & D* are, you would think they could do something with this. It's been a week and the only thing I miss from Mediacom is TV Guide's I-Guide;

I have an R15 (main TV I use) and changing channels with the remote, onscreen guide, etc., takes a good 10 seconds, if not longer.

Those so far have been my main beefs/complaints. Nothing big, just pet peeves perhaps.

My son is really getting a kick out of the classic cartoons on Boomerang and I cann't wait for baseball to roll around and have up to 5 or 6 games to choose from (I get every midwestern team, except my Royals )

my biggest complaint is how small the font size is compaired to dish.
need a magnifing glass just to read it.

Ya know,
DTV had a TV guide Channel.....224.....with a rolling screen of channels and times to watch. I was not grear.but it disappeared..........I think so DTV could sell the monthly paper guide.
It is there business.......take itas it is forced upon you.

I found the I Guide (I think thats what it's called) lame, I really like D*'s guide, the mini guide too.
I like it because I can go to a perticular channel and get all the programming or go out 14 days, I like the D* guide a whole lot better than the local cable companies.

Get a bigger TV, not a magnifying glass :up
I can read mine fine (60") but the 27" is hard to read

Typical "fanboy" trash excuses! :dev When are you coming back down to visit so we can go to another hockey game Jimbos?

Gee Digital,
I bet you don't have any problem seeing any guides on your set up either :)

Maybe I'll swing down when the playoffs come around ...
When are you coming up this way ?

I'm getting more and more used to the onscreen guide. When I had cable, I had an HD/DVR receiver that let you go out 14 days, which was nice, espcially during football season. What I liked about the I-Guide was the listings by channel feature (display all programming for one channel up to 6 or more hours).

Highlight the channel name all the way on the left side of the guide and press "info". It takes a few seconds but it will show all prograns on that channel. you can scroll down and see the next 14 days.

Cool! I didn't know that. Thanks for the info, I don't recall hearing about that tidbit in the "welcome video".

Tennis Channel is one of those channels that other cable and satellite providers carry that DirecTV needs to get off its duff and make available to its costomers. Style Network was added Jan. 1, 2007 -- nearly a decade after the channel was launched. Missing also from the lineup that should be made available is Nickelodeon Games and Sports, FearNet, indieplex, retroplex, Encore MoviePlex, all premiums, MTV, VH1, CMT screens, as well as AmericanLife, Black Family Channel, C-Span3, AZN Television, Wisdom, Gospel Music Channel, Sportsman Channel, and plenty more in the way of HD. (Yeah, I know about GMC, and the coming slate of HDTV channels.)
