When you call to "down grade" your service after the "free" premium. The charge is at least 5 bucks. Kind of sort of free. Good deal for them if you keep it. Five Bucks if you discontinue.
I called yesterday about it. The idiot told me, I wasn't qualified, even though the website says I am. Since I already have HBO/Starz and both HD packages.... they can't give it to me. So, oh well. Its not like my bill isn't already $200+.
Right now I have AbsoluteHD and don't want to be forced to switch to the higher priced TurboHD. If I take this offer of free HBO/Starz, does that constitute a program change and they will zap me with Turbo?
To me it is not worth it to be locked in for 24 months to get three free months of movie channels unless your already in a commitment in which will effectively require no additional commitment in addition to the one that you already have.

My 18 month commitment just expired and I called and they gave me $10 off a month for 12 months and 3 months free HBO/Starz with NO additional committment. Gotta talk to the retention department or whatever it is called.
