In the future do you all think al jazeera america will be added to lower tier packages since it is a news channel?

I think it's a great channel, I would love if DirecTV would provide it in HD, I have watched a few times but man, I can no longer stand watching SD for more than 20 minutes!

I completely agree! Love the channel, but the SD just doesn't work for me.

When D14 launches be on the lookout then for expanded programming. Until then not much is going to happen. I also hope that this is on directv programming depts radar. Along with cspan 1-3 in HD

I think that channel does a really good job as well, especially with international news.

CSPAN3 is on cband and streaming, so it's not cable exclusive.

but since neither D* or E* carry it I could have sworn at one time it was "cable only"

edit: this is a couple years old but Scott posted that "CSPAN 3 advertises itself as "only on cable""
