Anyone ever had this porblem?

I was talking to a friend that used to have directv. He used to have one of those older RCA receivers. He said everytime it would storm he have to pull the card in and out. Has anyone herd of this before?

Receivers now have a red button, you do a RBR red button reset. Yes there is still needed resets, it is a computer.
