Ok when my bedroom hopper is recording using prime time anytime and the other two tuners my living room hopper doesn't seem to be able to access it. Is this normal? The joeys are able to access it, so I'm leaning towards the livingroom hopper is failing I just wanted to make sure it isn't a normal problem with other people before I go and order another one from dish network. Edit: I can see what's on it from the other hopper and press play but nothing happens it just stays on what I have on in the living room.

Have you tried unplugging the Hopper to reset it since this happened? I've had this happen twice and resetting the box fixed it and the other time I brought up the TV Viewing Status screen and it wouldn't let me select a tuner and join, so I exited that screen by pressing Cancel or Live TV and then went back to it and it let me take over one of the free tuners.

It happens every monday with the hopper in the livingroom and it can't access the one in the bedroom I was just wondering if its normal will the new hopper do the same thing?

Were you able to try unplugging the receiver to reset it? A reset should fix this. Are you trying to access the other Hopper's recordings, and what exactly is happening?

Sounds to me like a software bug. Are your MoCA bars all four green ones on all receivers when you press YELLOW - Diagnostics - System Dtatus?

Check the cable ran to your hopper. Is it 3ghz and is it rg6? Also check the wallplates, are the barrels in them blue?

OK so it only happens when primetime anytime is active and I am using the other two tuners so I have all three tuners active. The joeys seem to work fine. But my other hopper will not connect to watch a program. Some of the barrels are green some are blue and I have no idea if its 3 ghz but it is rg6 dish put in 5 yrs ago.

Also, YELLOW - BLUE - Tests - Send Status - Check Connection - Check Signal. Are all three tuners showing similar numbers on all three sats?

Ok so last night Ran tests Three sats fine 4 green moca bars fine BUT I went under moca dhcp failed next one failed one after that failed. SO is this entire thing running off of my internal ethernet network instead of moca? because when I went to Ethernet green across the board. And it has always been this way since they installed it. Moca has always failed ethernet always green.

EDIT: I guess I can test it and unplug the router and see if the whole system crashes.
Well that didn't work (system worked fine)
Now I'm extremely confused

My Moca fails all the time in that screen but I've never had an issue with my joey. If you toggle in the menus a few times after resetting network you may be able to get them to show OK. I've had an Internet outage and my joey continued to work even though Moca showed three faileds. I wouldn't worry about it unless functionality is affected. I think this is a bug.

MoCA here on all receivers shows "OK" on all tests and Ethernet on the Ethernet-connected Hopper also shows "OK" on all tests on both Ethernet and MoCA.

Functionality is affected somewhere somehow with my hopper to hopper watching video. Joeys are fine. Just the Hoppers are having problems and it didn't happen until the s230 update. So something has happened somewhere that is causing my hopper network to malfunction. I tried unplugging one of my hoppers from the internet and enabling bridging on the one that was that caused a catastrophe. (Both of mine have always been plugged into the network) The Third one downstairs doesn't play into this at all its not on the network and is separate on its own node. So anyway the two have had major problems as of late seeing each other and it is getting really annoying I think I will have to have dish out for a tech call see how many things they can break while trying to fix something that is probably as simply as a setting. (And its not so much seeing each other they can see each other just fine they just can't play videos)

I honestly don't even know where to start. So MoCA bars are all full in System Status? Ethernet-connected Hopper shows "OK" on Ethernet, but not "OK" on MoCA? I'm not sure if the two are related to the PTAT issues.

I'm ready to cry my other half wants to throw the system out the window. And the tech is an idiot and just called me and tried to argue that the the one hopper shouldn't be able to see the other hopper. But suggested the node has gone bad.

Ok people help me brain storm here before this idiot gets here. Node or switch or both? Hoppers see each other but when you use three tuners on one and one tuner on the other recording you can't play between the two.

The switch is before the node so i would say the switch shouldn't have anything to do with the Hopper's not communicating. I would guess it's the node.

Awesome I just do not want this guy blowing up my system. For some reason they are using a different satellite company to fix my system then normal. Weird.

It was the damn OTA dongle.................... after everything we unpluged it system worked fine. I am really annoyed it was a waste of my time, his time. Everyone's time. We replaced a switch and a node and it turns out it was a damn dongle. Now I know never to screw with perfection again.
