Actually, Yes I have. It didn't work.
Its not supposed to work unless they upgade the software to allow it.

What kind of error message did you get when you put the card in the "cardless" receiver?

Other than the receiver rebooting when you insert card it totally ignores it using the built in chip.

If say I decide to buy a Dish 510, which could save me $100 over the Bell 5900, how would I get a virgin Bell card? Call Bell I assume, but will they send me one? And how much $$$ will it likely cost?

I dont think it will work and for the amount the cards are, just get a 5900

PLus if you're in the US, they won;t send you one.

my wife has a house in Northern Ontario, her parents gave it to her for visits during the summer, when they bought a new one. So any Bell mail goes there, and her parents forward if nessassary.

But yeah, I figure the cost of the card would bring the price of the 510 to the 5900, but wasn't sure how much Bell charged for new cards.
