They had my account so screwed up they gave up trying to fix it and after many complaints to the Office of the President they finally just made a new DIRECTV account for me completely separated from AT&T Misfits Inc.

After finding out they had packages stacked on top of each other on my acct. The TV hasn't been acting like a mental missfit!!! That's taken care of. Billing has been taken care of also i owe zero for 12 months :love. Now I'll have to wait and see if it generates it should even with a zero balance. Filled out the e-mail they sent me for the 600.00 prepaid visas. I wonder when they will zapped the boxes with a reautheration signal or if that flew over there heads lol as were picking up channels that were not paying for. I hope they take us off the att system but that's not looking good right now!!!

well my case is closed lets see if the bill generates this month. they were supposed to call back and talk about my billing cycle never did!!! i should get a bill even though it will be a zero balance. we are getting all of the foreign channels and the naughty channels and a few others since they didn't re authorize the boxes after telling them about it. well atleast the pictures are acting right and not breaking up and scrambling!!! if they don't give a sh*t either do i!!!
 
Dealing with this now. Apparently a wide spread issue for people canceling towards the end of the year also. I have a balance that they never sent a bill to me for. I paid my final bill in 10/2024 and DTV even says final bill. They then decided to bill me because their system glitched. It's now in DTV collections, some internal group, so retention can't help just crediting it. So after 7 months, they say I owe them but terms say billing has to be resolved within 60 days, even the equipment return. They also haven't even sent a paper bill.


Edit - Supposedly they sent an email bill to me. I told them that would be a phishing attempt to me since I no longer have an account and they need to send paper bills to everyone. I was able to finally get to a supervisor in retention that was able to reverse the actual contract since it was for a receiver swap out and nothing new. If you end up talking to a person in the DTV Collections group, prepare to bang your head against the wall.

they told us everything would be ok once we were off the att billing system um ok then :rolleyes: :biggrin. they seem not wanting to fix things or they just don't care to!!! we now have to call in an get the amount owed zeroed out since they gave us a free year after dealing with all of there BS... i always keep the ups or fedex tracking receipts for 600 years just incase they say they never got the boxes back :coco even the fedex guy told us there crooks!!! i'm surprized they havent sent a refresh signal down to the boxes as there wide open and they know about it!!!
