Don't mean to be contrary, but the first thing in my mind when it was over was, this has to be the worst episode of the series...mostly, to your point, the predictability and, stereotyped characters. Not up to the usual writing quality level. It seemed like it was likely a re-tool of a re-tool of scripts from other shows.

Last night's show was just okay...

I agree and I really like this show but if future episodes are the same way, I will lose interest fast.

I am also still waiting for them to get back to the dead brother story, although it seems to be forgotten about.

They didn't really have any build up to the capture. They showed the guy once and then that was it.

"This Way Out": When a family friend is murdered,~.......
You know, every time I see a description like this I instantly think of shows like Hart to Hart or Murder She Wrote. You NEVER wanted to be friends with those characters because you would be dead 4 minutes into the show!

I love season finales not don't end with a cliff hanger. :)

It depends on the show. I hate when primetime drama shows (like CSI, Criminal Minds, etc.) employ a season-ending cliffhanger, but it's okay when serial dramas (like Revenge or The Walking Dead) do it because that's their weekly format. That's why I really like Person of Interest...they're able to successfully incorporate elements of both the weekly drama and ongoing serial drama into the show's format. They succeed where most fail miserably.
