I have never tried the chat thing. But one time I tried to change my account credit card and hit headaches. So from then on, if I want to change just about anything in my DISH account I call the CSR during day time hours Monday thru Friday to play it safe.
I'm not sure what programming change you wanted, but most changes can be done on my dish.com or in the my account app in a hopper, if you have a hopper

They took care of it over the phone, I just hate wasting my time on hold for something that can be solved otherwise, agent had no idea chat wasn't working. Maybe it's just me. Anyway, thanks for looking folks.

Seriously, I have been saying for awhile that Dish should just let us switch to Welcome Pack through our online mydish accounts, instead of making us go through the hassle of chatting or calling to make the change.
