One quick question is the HD output on these boxes true HD or a form of HD Lite? Thanks

The box can do true HD, but what is Comcast providing you?
I have not heard of Comcast providing an HD lite version!!

The HD that comes out my 6412 is full HD, or as much as the provider sends to Comcast.

Ok I was just curious what they were providing. Wondering if anyone has looked at the stream to see if it is full HD.

I recommend you set the output of the 6412 to match the native resolution of your TV for best HD picture. And, set 4:3 Override to 480i, so that your TV, which most likely has better processing than the 6412, will up-convert it to your TV's native resolution. The 6412 upconversion can make SD look soft, grainy, and smeared.

FYI - The way to access the menu to change those settings is to power off the 6412 off, then hit "menu" immediately.
