I am brand new to all this and am lost . I bought a coolsat 6000 premium and have these older DirecTV dishes . I have been trying to aim it at the 119 echostar . I can get about 97 on strength but quality is down around 5% . The Dishes are 18 in and the LNBs have 2 coax in each arm . They go to a box on the pole labled 13v and 18v . Line 1 is the one I am connected to .

I am wondering if my componets are compatable .

Hope I am in the right forum . If not please send me in the right direction .;)

Thanks for any help .

You can use an 18" dish for a couple of free channels on 119w (NASA and some banner channels), but for most FTA the 18" dish is next to useless. You'll need a 30" or larger dish for most satellites.

Which way is better? Multiple LNBs or just one steerable dish.

QPF-031 ok for 1.8 M Fortec?
