DayStar on G10R

Noticed that the DayStar channel on G10R no longer uses AC3 Dolby for audio. I now can HEAR DayStar on G10R.

Not sure why they made this change but I'm glad they did --- as I had not yet setup a receiver to decode the AC3.

They were AC-3??

Didnt know they were...and I dont have a AC-3 decoder in the computer room

I have a Fortec Merc II and alway before on DayStar channel had the DD (Dolby) sign and I could not hear it ever; until tonight.

Now the (Dolby) double D is gone and I CAN hear DayStar.

interesting....maybe I was watching it on G25/IA5/T5 where it wasnt dolby

That's strange, before I had a way to decode AC3 I could always get it just fine.

"The List" shows AC3

I just checked "The List" and it shows that the audio had been AC3. It's about half way down the page.

yes it is possible. I've seen channels (especially on C-Band) where there are 2 audio pids...one standard and one AC-3

DSTAR has always been both on G10R (at least since I've had my Fortec). The rest of the AC3 channels (ie. KAMT) are not.
