Hello all ,

Very quick. I have an hr20-100s , I was receiving all channels just fine ((have the nfl st w/premier pkg)). Yesterday I moved the box into a new stand. In doing so I unplugged all cables from it for at least a half hour.

I plugged everything back in and after about an hour I switched to local HD and it was a black screen. I got audio from the ch but nothing else.
I browsed around checking for other stations and overall it seems Local HD and MaxHD were black screen. SD feeds for Max and Locals were working fine.Other HD ch's appeared fine as well.

I tried a different pair of those filters I tried swapping line in cables , nothing seemed to make a difference. I tried unplugging from wall again.

Not sure if its something I did at a weird time or if its something on DTVs end.

Any advice ?

Have you tried restarting the receiver? It kind of sounds like you powered it back on before everything was hooked up and it ran through its setup but couldn't get all the settings back to where they were because the inputs weren't there...

Just a guess, but a restart's always the first thing to try. You also could try re-running the antenna and/or satellite setup, too, if you're still having problems. If you redo the antenna setup, make sure you remove the existing settings first.

If by restart you mean power cycling or unplugging the unit then yes.

I was going to do the reset from the menu but was worried it would delete my DVR record settings and/or delete any content.

Do a red button (next to your acess card slot) reset. I had the same problem when I changed out my mutliswitch. Fixed the problem and it won't change any of your DVR setting.

And actually the menu reset is a better option then the red button, per Earl over at dbstalk... safer, because it shuts down correctly first (think using "restart" from your PC vs. just holding down the power button).

Just make sure you choose "Restart Recorder." Some of the other options will delete settings and/or recordings.

Thanks guys. Will reset when Im home and update.
