Direct tv available in europe

Does anyone know if direct tv is available in europe, and if so about what do you think the elevation and direction would be. I am in germany, so the normal US answer of southwest sky, doesnt work... it would be more west than south from here.

you cannot get directv in Europe the satellites only reach the US and parts of canada and mexico

Well, if you used a very, very, very tall tower you might be able to get over the curvature of the earth and pick up the US birds. I checked on lyngsat and they are below your horizon, alas.

I don't know if there is a D* europe you can get or not.

try these to see if they offer an american package in europe

Sky is offered, but i was hoping to get direct tv programming.. since sky offers very few american channels.

Hi I am new here to. Which do you thinks best out Direct TV or Sky Digital? Here in the UK they are about 700 channels on sky digital and more keep coming on all the time but most of these are crap.

DirecTV will not work across the ocean....their coverage is US/parts of canada/carribean
