No they are NOT dropping Ku, they are dropping MPEG2 SD. They will continue to use Ku from 101 for years to come.

However, the 18x20 dish being Ku only will no longer be supported by Directv. At best you'd pick up a limited selection of channels.

Whoops you are correct! I should have said they are dropping mpeg2, but your box is mpeg4 so you are good to go.
