According to the May/June issue of "The Perfect Vision" magazine, all Direct\Tv HDTV satellite boxes and antennas must be replaced sometime after July 2005. Anyone have any idea about the costs and trade in policies of DirecTv?

There is a lot more then that to this whole thing...check out the sticky post on the DirecTV forum. It will happen based on markets and will be over a year or two.

I wouldn't count of the chance that all the HD boxes will be replaced all accross the country within months regardless of HD LIL rollouts.
