Dish 222 L3.02 Software Release Notes

L3.02 for the ViP 222 was released to support the automatic mapdown feature for High Def Regional Sports Networks. This feature allows preferential tuning to the High Def version of RSN games when available.

Thanks. I got this update and was wondering what it was suppose to fix, since there was no obvious changes. There are some problems with the 222, one of which it seems to loose the sat signal a lot (while other receivers on same system are fine) and has to be rebooted to correct the problem. Sometimes happens daily.

Any word on when Dish will be upgrading the software on the 222 for ethernet access? I'm hoping to avoid paying any additional $5 fees.

This happens to my 222 everyday almost, but it will never go 2 days without a reboot, this is the worst receiver I have ever had, tech support replaced the original but the replacement has the same exact problems

I'm on #3. The only answer I get is that they know there is a problem and are working on it. I think I've had mine for about 6 months or so. There are a couple of other issues too, but this is the most irritating.
