Hi. I'd been using Dish Anywhere 6.6.12 side loaded on my Amazon Fire 10 for several years, every since Dish updated the user interface to drop the channel selector mode. This has worked until today when I can no longer view any of the DVR content (recordings, timers, etc are all "no access"), and the guide will not load and causes an app reset.
I downloaded V25.1.50 today. I now can see the DVR content. Live streaming Hopper channels is clumsy since it has to be done through the guide - please restore the "channel remote".
However, this version of the app can no longer display ANY of the Over The Air channels I added through the OTA adapter... I have local channels and as an example, there is:
. 13 (from Dish, the ABC outlet) full grid
. 13-1 scanned OTA version of 13, no grid, shows OTA icon
. 13-2 scanned OTA LAFF has grid, no OTA icon (Why? Is it because LAFF is part of the Dish lineup? This is new)
. 13-3 scanned OTA GRIT no grid, OTA icon (GRIT is part of dish lineup but it doesn't have grid info, so what is different between 13-2 and 13-3?)
Pressing "13" at the far left of the grid says "streaming from hopper" and the program displays.
Pressing "13-1" results in nothing. Pressing the grid line brings up a submenu with "watch on hopper" and a "play" icon. Pressing "play" results in nothing.
Pressing "13-2" plays program (does not say OTA even though it is, has grid)
Pressing "13-3" is the same as 13-1...
This is the same throughout the scanned channel region. For some reason some of the "dot subchannels" or even the "xxx" (Dish native) vs "xxx-1" (OTA scan) without grid, will not display the live TV streaming content. If it shows as an OTA channel it will not display the content.
That makes the Dish Anywhere app pretty much unusable...
It was clumsy before, and the older version worked perfectly until today. After nearly 30 years as a Dish customer I'm seriously considering changing to Direct TV.
