Dish App/Sling

Noticed today that when I want to watch something thru sling its fine but when I try to record a program thru the dish app it won't allow it...anyone know why???...i have had this problem since I got the hopper from day 1

Dish's web portals and app are buggy and unreliable still when it comes to scheduling and playback.
