Sure, if you don't mind waiting 3 or 4 more years for enough data rate and QOS to send HD video and audio and the hassles of setting it up in your home. Theres a technology coming out right now that will do all that using your existing electrical wiring and is simple to setup and use: HomePlug AV.

It's a lot easier to setup that way. Wireless is a pain.

I sure hope dish has tried to play with wifi because there are many variables that cause a signal to drop. If they are depending on this to be the cure all they better think again. If they are depending on wifi for Video on Demand I can see the problems already not to mention the setup in some homes and service issues.

In addition account stacking may be way easier with neighbors if they enable wifi to verify receivers.
