Dish HD & Voom HD with 1 dish ?

Is there any way to get the Dish HD package & Voom HD package with 1 dish? If not, is there any talk about being able to do it in the future? I don't want to have 2 dishes up. I used to have the Dish HD package, and I have the Dish 500. Thanks.

Short answer NO!
Voom is only on 61.5 deg., most of the other channels are on 110 deg.

The long answer is maybe.

Dish is testing the VOOM channels at 129. This will require the new yet to be released Dish 1000 sat dish.

With a dish 500 the answer is still no!
That dish 1000 has been reported on this forum, but no official word from Dish.

I'm a former Voomer and still have the Voom dish on my roof. Can I use this to get the Voom package and is it already pointing to the correct location? I have a Dish 500 which I'm using. I don't see why I have to pay another $199 to get it installed by dish to get the Voom program.

Well if you want dish to install a dish at the 61.5 location then yes you are gonna have to pay for it. There are several threads on here about converting you Voom dish to work with Dish network equipment. As the Voom dish sits now it will not work with DishPro equipment.
