Dish Network Corp. shares jumped on Wednesday after Chief Executive Charlie Ergen said the company plans to boost its high-definition satellite TV offerings and an analyst upgraded the company to "Buy."

they are as cluless as charlie. They deserve the pinochio as well;

THat is because Charlie will now add hd channels that appeal to the masses instead of niche programming thats time has passed. Obviously the financial community agrees with his decision and is advising people to BUY dish stock now.

Or they bought the whole press release about adding 22 channels and catching D* and don't know that the sum of the whole was a couple of channels.

Once DISH reaches 100 HDs and start to push the $30 HD pack deal, the wind will blow the other way. It may not put too much pressure on DirecTV, but it will certainly get many cable subs to jump on the DISH HD wagon, even while they still keep their basic cable and broadband tiers.

The results can show up as soon as the next quarterly depending on how aggressive DISH is going to be.

Charlie need to secure his programming and then its a BUY...BUY.
