Dish outdoor locals?

So I was wondering if someone had the dish outdoor dish setup , and if it the local channels that are used for that service if they were visible on the home receivers also? I'm asking because I'm wondering about how I can get access to the east coast had local feeds.

Locals are different for every spot beam. So it would depend on on how far from home you are. Smaller markets can usually still be received a little past the intended area before it starts saying no signal. Bigger markets can sometimes have coverage a few hundred miles past intended coverage area.
If you're further than that then most likely you won't be able to see that at home. They will show in the guide but when you turn to them it will say no signal.
