Dish remote code for 55" RCA Flatscreen TV

Hello everyone,

We just bought a new RCA 55" flatscreen TV. I want to program my dish 6.2 IR/UHF Pro remote to operate the TV.
I tried about 100 codes for RCA and nothing works. Anyone know the codes for newer RCA TV's?

Yes I have tried the above codes. Nothing working.
Is there an updated list for RCA TV's?

I know that the newer RCA TV's are different in terms of infrared signals than the older RCA TV's.

Any help is appreciated.

As this time, we do not have an update list.

You are able to manually scan for codes for your RCA.

Press and hold the device mode button until all mode buttons light up then select the receiver Power button. Press the UP or DOWN arrow button on the remote until the device powers off - about one press each second. After such, select the Pound (#) button then press the POWER button to turn the device on.

thanks, I tried that for a while, but gave up after about 15 min. I guess I will have to be patient and go through all the codes.

I found a code 758. It only turns on & off the TV and works volume. Numbers and input/source buttons non functional.

Looks like this TV uses Sony IR protocol. I have an old Sony RM-Y129 remote used for Directv Sony receiver from 1996.

The TV function (programmed to default Sony) works with the exception of a few buttons (input, sleep, select, really the important ones)

This question may have received more relevant eyeballs had it been posted in a DISH forum (although remote codes often span carriers).

RCA is one of those brands that you never really know what you're getting. While RCA (Technicolor/Thomsen) does manufacture some of their products, some are simply licensed to other manufacturers. JVC is another such brand under which TCL TVs are sold.

Somewhere in the 1980s, GE bought the RCA name. Not long after, GE sold the TV rights to Thomsen and things started getting interesting.
