DN 500 to DVR

I currently have a DN 500 dish connected to a legend receiver. Can I connect a DVR 510 without any modifications to my current system?

I think you meant LEGACY receiver the only legend DISH has is poor performance.

Are you going to add the 510 or replace the Legacy receiver? If replacing the old receiver just connect the 510 preferrably transferring 1 cable at a time from old box to new. Then run a switch test (menu 6-1-1), then call DISH to activate 510.

I did mean Legacy. I will be replacing the legacy with the 510.
