Hopper 3. I have many recurrung timers set, mostly for news shows. I keep seeing many of they greyed out in the guide. I have not deactivated them, and my DVR is less than 50% full. I can select the event, and then restore, and they come back. Why does that happen?

Are they set for NEW only? IF so and there is nothing new coming on it will grey out in the guide. Now most news shows should just show new in the guide but not always. If you set New and repeats they will record everything. Same if you set weekly timers it will record regardless if it's new or not. You can also set daily and it will record any news show that comes on at that time with that title. Now if you have only say 3 tuners like the old Hopper with sling, it will grey out and show a conflict if you have 4 things recording.

Now where are the timers in numerical priority? Like the more important things should be at the top of your list of timers so they get recorded first. IF not move them there. When we had the hopper my wife loved decorating shows and if I didn't move the timers in order so her stuff was at the end of priority, I would never get anything I wanted to watch. That's my suggestions. Anyone else know?

I will double check, I think since most are news shows, it may be that they are not showing as NEW in the guide. I generally choose that becacuse there are repeats in the early AM hours.
