EchoStar will likely launch their new Echostar 25 satellite (under construction) in 2026.

Now, they have contracted for EchoStar 26 satellite to be completed in 2028.

Contrary to the speculations about the satellite tv business dying, 2 new satellites in two years is a strong indication of the future of satellite TV>

This line says it all.

"To catalyze a resolution to the ongoing uncertainty, EchoStar appears to be signaling that it is willing to file for bankruptcy protection, a move that could provide the company with the benefits of the automatic stay and potentially stall or block FCC efforts to modify or revoke its spectrum licenses,"

DISH will be around for a long long time.

I'm confident to 2030, after that I'm not so sure. In home video delivery is just changing so much and so quickly.
If Dish continues to lose at the same rate, they would be in the negatives with subscribers by 2030.

My guess, doing the math based on the quarterly reports, they would be unprofitable with 2-3 Million subscribers.

Content seems less all the time.
Everyone remembers what the fall TV season used to be like, when so many shows would be on the Broadcast Networks, just 10-15 years ago, the majority would be scripted content, here is the upcoming Fall Season-

ABC-only 5 hours in Prime Time are scripted Shows, out of 22 hours.
Fox-only 4 Hours are scripted shows, 2 hours of that are cartoons on Sunday, out of 14 hours.
NBC-7 Hours are scripted shows, out of 22 hours.
CBS-13 hours, out of 22 hours.
