Even transponder intermittent issues

I have an R15 DVR that has been losing signal on local channels as well as many others (ESPNs and other low to mid 200s). If I have signal on one of these channels, I never lose it while watching but if I'm surfing or turn on the TV sometimes, I will get the "searching for satellite signal" message. After a 2-15 minute period, the signal will come back on these channels. I noticed that the signal meter shows no signal on the even transponders when I am experiencing trouble and the odd transponders are usually showing mid 90s strength.

I have a dual LNB dish, a 3/4 multi-switch and two other receivers. The issue does not occur on the other receivers. Switching the connections around on the multi-switch to receiver lines made no difference. Any suggestions?

Does this problem exist on both tuners of the R15? Swap the inputs and see if things change.

This condition occurs because the LNB or multiswitch isn't getting the 18v signal which switches it to the even transponders.

First step is to check all connections for looseness or corrosion.
Next bypass the multiswitch and connect the R15 directly to the dish to eliminate it as the cause.
