After months of talking about it, my wife has agreed to switch from Directv to Dish. I like Dish's channels better being that I'm not a sports fan other than Saints football and I can get that on my locals. I'm gonna get the Classic Gold 250 with HD. I think the Encore movies, Outdoor Channel, and The Movie Channel are all included with that. Is that correct? Directv makes you pay extra for all of them.
I was totally happy with my Directv service (dvr operation, pic and sound quality, etc) but recently a rude csr pushed my last button. So i'm very nervous about switching because my Directv dvr works perfect and we've never had a problem with shows not being recorded. The Dish csr said I would be getting a 722 HD DVR? Are they reliable? You hear horror stories on these forums about equipment and I hope I'm as lucky with Dish equipment as I was with Directvs.
Also, what are you thoughts on the advantages of Dish over Direct.
