FIT TV - Discovery Channel

Can anyone comment on why DISH does not carry this? Seems like all other carriers do. Is this channel not part of Discovery's suite of programming>

FitTV is part of the Discovery Networks since 2003. Dish has never carried this channel dating back to when the called "The Health Network". This channel was owned by Fox. Originally, this channel was called Cable Health Club.

Dish Network added "Veria" on its lineup last month. It has certain element of Fit TV. With this move, I don't think we would see FitTV on Dish any time soon.

Does DISH pick and chose channels or just offer all Discovery options?

E* carries most of the digital Discovery networks. There are still a few channels that E* does not carry. D* does not carry all the Discovery networks. I assume that operators have the option to choose channels from the line-up.

My wife misses the FitTV channel since we switched to Dish. We miss Howard Stern too. What channel is Veria on?

OK, thanks. I did a search for Veria and did not come up with anything.

It is on 9575 and you must subcribe to AT-250.
