I've been using Glary Utilities for YEARS. The Pro version is only $11 a year. It is worth it to have all the little maintenance utilities ( which you can find and download for free ) in one easy-to-use interface. It is updated quite frequently and different/new tools are added on occasion. I don't use everything in the suite... mainly the registry stuff, disk space optimization, and the defragger. It will track the programs you have installed and query you when there are updates for them. I mainly use this for information and manually update instead of letting it update for me. I think the repository they use is File Puma.

I've been paying for a Pro license for a while. I think the free version has no limits but buying the Pro version gets rid of the nag screen when starting it up. Not a huge annoyance and I felt the $11 was acceptable to support the project.

A few years ago many subscription companies added PC cleaners to their collection. I have mine through the virus scanner collection. What I like is it keeps the registry file clean and fast. Prior to these tools, I used to go in and manually clean the file with regedit. Glad those days are gone.

Glary is a complete suite that does everything including looking for software updates, driver updates, check disk, defrag, PLUS cleans out temp files, redundant shortcuts, analyses start up programs, running tasks, defrags, cleans and defrags registry, removes spyware, etc... All the things to keep a happy computer running smoothly and up to date, so yeah, you actually DO need something else.

I also use advanced system care, the tool box alone is great, try it, then buy it There support is good too, they even give you a way to do a screen shot for an issue to send them, so their software guys can figure out the special problem you are having, they seem to be willing to bend backwards until your happy. They email you, ask you if the special one they send you fixed your issue
