Friday FTA Fun poll..Labor Day edition

would love to work on some stuff but its also weather related .... my start time has been delayed due to my dad breaking his hip and a family reunion so maybe i can get some things done before gustav weather hits here.

Any of our FTA / SatelliteGuys fleeing the storm looking for refuge i'm sure the hotels are either booked up or going fast up to the Little Rock Area. But if you don't have a place, i'm sure we can make room for a few days

If you are currently making the trip out and are stuck in traffic , we are praying for lots of patients and safe journey for those on the roadways.

UPDATE: Went and got it this morning, turns out it's a 1.2 meter! :up Now I have 2 of those!

I had no plans to work on FTA stuff over the weekend. However, I have given most of my primestar and abn dishes away (sold a couple abn's) along with some cheapie receivers that I've rescued from ebay recently, and I decided since I'm down to 3 BUDs and 3 36" dishes, that I'd tidy things up a bit - ended up buying new schedule 40 poles for the 36" dishs and lots of concrete and I'm setting new poles today (I was using cheap fencing poles, and they were getting to be a pain as they tend to flex a lot)

HECK YEAH! I moving in to a new house today about 5 miles away from from where i live now with my parents so as soon as i can get my essential stuff moved the sats are going up. Cant be with out tv!

Since there are plenty of Gustav-related posts in this thread, I thought this would be a good place to post that I just arrived back in town yesterday (we're lucky, much of the state is still without power). No damage to satellite dishes or mounts (reflectors were all inside, just the mounts were left up). My reflectors will stay inside until Ike decides where he's going. Looking like 2005 all over again...

Thanks Stogie, I hadn't forgotten about it. In fact, I was just looking up some C-Band info for a friend who's aiming a commercial dish at 99w, and realizing how badly I need C-Band
