If you are into it, it is actually fun. There are two levels. (And they do not charge to tell you who your third cousins are, BTW). The first is pure science. They just type your DNA into ethnic groups. Mine came out pretty much as expected. British/Irish and German, with a few drops of other parts of Europe and Elizabeth Warren level Indian (0.5%) . It also tells you the Maternal haplogroup and (for males) the paternal haplogroup, which are broad indicators of regional origins. The second level, which cost extra, is more junk science. They take your DNA and then say that people with similar are more likely to like baseball or get the flu or whatever, based on user surveys, which is mostly just coincidences.
