help with viewsat platinum VS2000

Here's the problem: I have the Viewsat VS2000 platinum and a dish motor. I connected everything and all was well. Motor would move dish, aquired channels. I was very happy with the results. All was well for a few days, and then the reciever would not move the motor. The light is on and green at the motor. You can push the buttons on the motor and it moves fine. You cannot move it from the reciever. You can not move it with the remote. I think the reciever is bad, but the place that I bought it from says that I need to go here and make a post and that you guys could help me. They say it is most likely a setup issue.

Here is where it is set now in the antenna setup menu:

I have 73% signal and 88% Q

I am getting channels, but I cannot operate the dish motor from the receiver. I'd like to be able to change satelites.

Can anyone help?

The Viewsat lumps Nimiq1 & Galaxy 11 together for some odd reason. It looks like he is getting the G11 stuff

Where did you get the receiver from?

motor needs to be changed to installer (from user) to really utilize the motor function

GOsatellite.net. I guess they are also FTAdirect.com. I have tried setting the motor function to installer with the same results. I also eliminated all other parts except the LBN, motor, reciever and 2 cables.

I would also leave out the motor for now, find and store a few satellites then add the motor.......

This;

DiseqC 1.0 none

needs to be set to port 1.

and this;

LBN High 10750
LBN Low 5150

is definitely weird! That by default should probably be 10600/9750 ?
but, I've found if you tweak LNB high numbers to 9750/9750 the S & Q meters in you install menu should go green. When they do your in the right ball park. At least its a problem that I have with the V2KP.

One other thing. When your motor or anything else stalls after that, you need to power off the equipment and restart ( pulled plug ) after a minimum of 20 seconds. Assuming your running 2013 and earlier revs, there is apparently a S/W bug with buffer overflow/overruns.

I hear a new rev is coming out "any day now" .

Tried all...no help. Also, cannot upload from stb to PC. Upload error every time in loader and loader2

what LNB is it?

The LO frequency is different depending on the LNB. Also, what satellite are you aimed at (or are aiming for?)
