Hughes Network Systems (HNS) launched the DirecWAY DW6000, a new terminal enabling multiple computers in a user's home office to be connected to broadband-via-satellite service. DW6000 enables Ethernet connectivity and requires no phone line or additional software.
DirecWAY DW6000's key features include:
*One-step "plug-and-play" networking that eliminates the need to install drivers or other software.
*No dedicated server required for sharing connection with multiple PCs.
*Ethernet technology for quick installation and device connectivity using any router, or in home wireless (Wi-Fi) network.

*More efficient use of hard drive space.

The DirecWAY DW6000 costs $59.99 per month for unlimited hours of high-speed Internet access. Hardware and standard installation is $599.99, including dish, modem and standard installation. In addition, HNS offers a 99/99 plan, in which customers pay a $99.99 upfront fee, with a 15-month contract of $99.99 per month, including dish, modem and standard installation. At no extra cost, all DirecWAY subscribers receive 10 Megs server space, five free email accounts, and 24/7/365 tech support.
