I am a happy Android user but my wife insists on IOS for phone and tablet. Lately she is able to access our network but not the Internet.

All Android and Windows devices work fine.

Any thoughts?

So connecting from iOS or iPadOS to a home wireless router doesn't give her internet access? What kind of router is she connecting to?

Have you tried connecting the iOS devices to the mobile hotspot on your phone? If they have internet access from the hotspot, then I'd say something is amiss with your router.

I don't think it is a router issue as Windows and Android devices work fine. Apple insists they have no idea what is causing this.

We are trying complete new installs of VPN, browsers etc to see if it helps.

It happens with ANY router. It is intermittent running on 5G. As I told another poster we will try deleting and reinstalling likely culprits

You mentioned VPN and 5G so just what is your network and how are you trying to connect? It sounds like your network is not a typical network. What ISP do you use and how is it configured when it comes into your house? An iOS or iPadOS device just connects to a wireless network using DHCP and I have never had any issues with an iPhone or iPad connecting and getting internet access.

I am not sure what sounds atypical to you. All of the devices use a VPN. The LAN and 5G are separate. The devices can connect to either but only without Internet access.

I am still in the process of installing and reinstalling everything that might be as factor

OK. When I uninstalled the VPN on the iPhone I had full internet access. When I reinstalled the VPN software I still had full access. I saw the same pattern on the iPad.

Since the problem seems to have been resolved I recommend that this thread be closed. I know that some are puzzled by this and a few think I might be withholding information pertaining to this so if the thread is closed I will gladly respond to anyone through private messages.
