Ok I'm not sure, how exactly to do this and where, located I know I can get all or least 61-119. I'm not sire if I can get 121 & 129, but assumuing I can what will I need? I was think of doing it this way if possible.

I'll be using BEV dishes/LNBS/switches to try this.

Now I no longer have BEV but assuming I go back I'd like to try this?

61.5 Dish HD(I believe I would have to get or hopefully get the New Yprk HDs since I have the New York SD nets. Now this is assuming I'm in this so-called "spot bea," not sure I am or not.
& using a BEV 20" Dual Dish
72.5 BEV when up and in use(assuming I will be getting channels from here.

82 & 91 This I know you can use a 20" Dual Dish

110 & 119 presently in use with 2 24" Dishes one at 110 the other at 119 with a SW 44 switch.

121 & 129 Dish Assuming I will be getting channels from here, what size Dish will I need? Will a BEV dual 20" Dish work? What LNBS do I need? I heard 121 is not DBS, so what type of LNB would I need?

As fopor switches I no I need a SW 64 Switch for 72.5,82.5 & 91, but assuming BEV uses 129 as well what type of switch will I need?

The same for SDish presentlyusing SW 44 Switch but with 61.5,110,119,121,129 what type of Switch will I need?

Note: I want to use switches rather the those 'soecial LNBS?

Also is 101 a Dish sat or DTV sat? If so whats on this sat?

I am not sure how you can put all these sats on one line, but some of the locations you may not need due to some being mirrors of some of the others. As far as the spot beams for NY are concerned, the HD locals are on 61.5 and are spot beamed, the sd ones are on 119 and 110, with some being on spots but the major networks are not. Unless you are getting ALL of the NY dma channels, I would not expect to be able to get the HD ones.

Anyone who is a legit subscriber to either or both services knows or should know that you can't use the same box to get both so there is no need to have them all on the same dish/switch system.

BEV is simple, 91 and 82.

Dish has several more satellites, some research at http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-network-forum/www.dishchannelchart.com will tell you what comes from where. If you can narrow it down to 3 or 4 satellites then a SW64 or SW64/SW21 will work if you insist on legacy LNBFs. Though possible, it is highly unlikely that you would be able to subscribe to enough services to require more than four orbital locations, as many channels are mirrored on more than one satellite.

Can he use ne of those Torroidal(SP) dishes/ The ones that can accomodate about 8 LNBS or whatever?..One of these .....

Wave Frontier Toroidal T90 Dish

Tom's a good guy and legit ;)
As for his spelling...well...that's a whole different story :D
(I've dealt with Tom on different boards)

Tom ya gotta quit thinking ;)
as noted above you can't mix Bell & Dish on the same box or switches. So IF (key word is IF) Bell does get 72.5 up then just use the equivalent of a Dish 1000. That would get 3 satellite spots and with a DP34 switch 4 receivers and extra switches can be added.

As for Dish

121 is dead. Dish stripped everything off of it because you needed a bigger dish. Same with 105. Those channels are gone and moved to other spots
61.5 & 129 carries the HD....129 doesn't work in Canada. Hell it barely works in the US :)
I'll be using BEV dishes/LNBS/switches to try this.
IF you want to try this, don't use Bell crap. Its recycled Dish crap. Go DishPro. Much easier

OK. NY spots won't hit Ottawa. They don't even hit western NY. National HD is there (61.5)

72.5 BEV when up and in use(assuming I will be getting channels from here.

IF Bell goes with 72.5/82/91 (who knows if they will), my god get a equivalent of a Dish 1000. 3 LNB's seeing 3 sats and you can hook 4 receivers to it using one switch.

110 & 119 presently in use with 2 24" Dishes one at 110 the other at 119 with a SW 44 switch.
yeesh..if you must use the SW44 then fine. I'd upgrade both LNB's to DishPro and get a DP44 switch. Then you can use 4 satellites and if you upgrade the Dish box to HD dual tuner then you can use just one cable for both tuners

121 & 129 Dish Assuming I will be getting channels from here, what size Dish will I need? Will a BEV dual 20" Dish work? What LNBS do I need? I heard 121 is not DBS, so what type of LNB would I need?
see above. 121 is dead. Everything is stripped off of there. All that was on there recently was locals but those moved to 129 or 110. 129 won't work in Ottawa and has the same HD as 61.5 does

Why would Bell use 129? I could see 72.5/82/91 and again if you must feel the need to stay with Legacy switches (god knows why) then a SW64 would be what to use.
The same for SDish presentlyusing SW 44 Switch but with 61.5,110,119,121,129 what type of Switch will I need?
you don't need all of them. 110/119/61.5 would work with what you need for HD. UNless you need an International channel (greek package maybe? ;) ) then you need 110/118.7/119/61.5. The only thing right now for 118.7 is a Dish500+ or Dish1000+ Then you'd HAVE to go DishPro :)

Note: I want to use switches rather the those 'soecial LNBS?
Tom that makes no sense. Its not the LNB's that are "special". DishPro is the way to go for 3 reasons
-one cable from each satellite spot to the switch...so you'd have 3 cables going to the switch instead of 6
-switches can be cascaded easily. DP34 switches allow 3 inputs 4 outputs and can be cascaded for 8 even 12 recievers
-get a DPP44+ switch and dual tuner boxes only need one cable

If you are using 2 receivers and 2 satellites then Legacy equipment (SW44, SW64) works fine. BUt if you are going beyond that, switch to DishPro. MUCH easier :)

Also is 101 a Dish sat or DTV sat? If so whats on this sat?

Tom - I'm sorry for implying that you might be a hacker. Ice obviously knows that you are not. Please accept my apologies.

Tom at one point had all 3 options he could have in Canada
ExpressVu and 8 boxes
StarChoice and I think 3 or 4 boxes
and as he use to put it, the Devil Ted Rogers (Rogers cable) who he is dancing with right now :D

Sorry guys should of been more clearer,

Yes I would be using Dish receivers for Dish and BEV receivers for BEV, it was more on how to get the signal wise. I know basically you need switches to get that many dishes. But it was how to point those dishes.

But I got my answers thanks guys for the info.

As for the spelling well two reasons

1) I have a visual disability (tunnel Glaucoma)
2) I should be using Check Spell but am sometimes just to lazy to use it. I know I know I should be using it.

This is what I had

BEV
8 receivers(this was before the 6 on one account came in)so was grandfathered. These are the receivers I gad over the 7 1/2 years that I had BEV:
2700
3100(4)
4100
4500
6000
6100
9200

SC(if I recall not sure on the modles)
410
411
201HD or what ever it was called but was sold earlier on.

Rogers(oresently)
3200(4)
8300HD PVR

Dish
3200(1)
thinking about upgrading to MPEG4 HD PVR & the MPEG 4 SD receiver(not sure of the modle number though).

I'm a tv fanatic.

As for programing I have the largest package with DISH "The Every tthing" expensive but well worth it.

You shpuld of sen me the first day Dish lite up

 I was looking thru the IPG and about every 5 mins I kept check what the channels where.

What this one, Whatsd that one and so on and so on.

You know you guys gon't know how lucky you gius have it(for tv) Be it Dish,DTV or cable the selection is unbelievable.

True there maybe a few good Canadian Channels but 95% of it is crap and the 5% that is good most of it shows US shows and programs.

TOM :)

Its all good Tom :)

I thought you'd have the Greek channels with Dish? )If I remember right that's what you had with Bell). Or do you get those with "the devil?" ;)

Got those with the DEVIL LOL

Actually the ones with Rogers are
ANT-1(combo of the US/Canadian Vewrsion
ERT same as ANT-1
Mega I believe ids the same as the US version different owners

ANT1 & ERT iws run by some guy(father knew him real A$$ HO:E)
Mega I believe is run by Ethnic Group Or Ethnic Channels Group something like that,

And besides from my understanding the grek ones are nowe divide up between Dish & DTV, not exactly sure which is on which services(DTV & Dish)

Hacker kept on NDS payroll after accused of piracy

What Should I do?
