I still don't really know what advantages it has over the dish500. Especially if you still need two dishes to pick up all your locals!

I am moving my service to a new house in a few weeks. Should I try to get them to install the 1000

The Dish 1000 will not be available to retailers until October. So your going to get whats available to you now.
