In consistent BEV reception ?

Some days my BEV come in fine. Other days I get nothing, on their HD channels. Would a 30" dish solve the problem? Don't want to psy for a new dish, if it wouldn't solve the problem. Technicially clallanged.

Well, as you don't say where you are located or what you have now, not much help we can give you.

I am in Palm Desert, Ca. Currently have a 24" dish. Weather doesn't change much here. Don't know what causes the problem.

Firstly, we need to check your signal strengths on several transponders. sat 82. In theory, you should be OK with that 24" dish.

Try 2,3,4,5,25 and see what the strengths are. If they are below 70, you might want to consider getting a larger dish for sat 82, if you have alreadly pointed your 24" as precise as posible.


If you are having drop outs on the signal screen, goes from 70 to 30, etc.., you might have a bad connection to the dish, maybe something as simple as a loose connection.

Agreed - we need the signal levels on the transponders over several days - especially on days when you say it doesnt come in.
