Installing a 2nd Joey?

I purchased a 2nd Joey to add to my Hopper with Sling/Super Joey/Joey setup. Can I just swap out the existing 2-way splitter for a 3-way splitter and then call Dish to activate, or is the process more involved than that?

You should be able to just swap out the splitter, but I may be incorrect. I do not install these things everyday.ay @Scherrman might have something different to say

Make sure the 3-way splitter you put is rated the same as the pre existing one

Just about any regular splitter in good shape will work for Joeys. No special ratings are necessary for Joeys.
