iPad streaming with new app missing channels?

Why do I not have all the channels that I have on my receiver? Just tested with fox soccer...while I still have it .

I am just guessing but I don't think the programming is streaming from your receiver. I think it's streaming over the internet. this is why there are only a handful of national cable channels available. Also it's why your DVR stuff is not available. I would rather have access to my DVR than the live programming of the national channels.

I think it is streamed from your receiver. That is why you need your receiver hooked up to your home network in order for it to work

The video is coming from the Internet not your receiver. The reason why you need to be on the same network as your DVR is because their agreement with the programmers on this live streaming says that the content can only be viewed in your home where you have service.

But again the video itself is coming from the Internet.
