Last & Next Movie Watched

I don't think the first one was ever prime eligible either. It was sold through Oppo on Amazon.

Last: Special Forces

Had a Tears of the Sun feel, only in French :). Surprisingly bigger budget feel, but nothing new as far as story lines. I liked it. I started with the Dolby 2.0 English track, it sucked. DTS Master French track with English subtitles was much better.

Next: Django

Last: Django Unchained

After Kill Bill, which I felt was OK at best, and Inglourious Basterds which I felt sucked, I was hesitant and kinda down on Tarantino. I'll gladly say, this was a 5 out of 5 for me, just a good freaking movie without the load of stupidity and cheese I felt was in Basterds. I never even felt like I was into a 2hr and 45min movie. Jamie Foxx was great, as well as all the other big names.

KB was ok for me, they just started bordering on what I felt was more a stupid action movie. I just couldnt get into Basterds. Django reminds me of Pulp Fiction in that it was witty, gritty and less stupidity. Pulp Fiction has the right balance, the other three were hard for me to take seriously because of too much cheese. I prefer the Dogs/Pulp Fiction style better, and Django was right up my alley. Im sure thats what he was going for in KB and Basterds, but I'll take the Django/Pulp Fiction style movie.

I like all of his movies you have mentioned here. Kill Bill 1 and 2 are probably my least favorite of those listed. Don't get me wrong, I still like them but the rest are in the love category.

I saw Django in the theater and really enjoyed it. I watched it on Blu-ray last night with a friend who had not watched it yet. I think I liked it even better at home on my own setup. I had the DTS-HD Master Audio track cranked up loud and some of the songs they chose had me grinning. It was an all around great movie but the music soundtrack tied together with the action actually had me fired up a couple times.

Oh man, it was great music. The dialogue was clear too, which is important in one of his movies. I find it almost impossible to muster the drive to go to the theater anymore.

Thats the way we were from Dec-Mar with the mother in law being sick and then passing. It was just non stop. We are still 5 weeks behind on the dvr stuff, but Ive been knocking down some movies lately.

Last: The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey

I thoroughly enjoyed it. PQ was outstanding, dialogue and action sounded good, and there was a lot of LFE. Looking forward to part 2.
